God, I've been gone a while. Went to Boston. It was very nice...and expensive. I think I spent the most on train fare traveling back and forth from Boston and Ayer, where I was staying. You meet a lot of interesting individuals on an hour-long train ride. In fact, it seemed that the later it was, the more interesting people there were riding on the train. I'm happy to say that I picked up some new German, Portuguese, and Russian words-phrases while I was there as well.
Also...I finally went to a Red Sox game. We lost. Hugely. Oh, well. It was unusual to be in such a concentrated area of screaming drunks. The grand slam scored against us succeeded in turning the screaming drunks into angry screaming drunks. And then...the consessions ran out of beer. Needless to say, the results were not very pleasant.
The subway ride afterwards to North Station was rather unpleasant. Lots of sweaty, drunk people crammed in a little subway car. I'd never ridden on one before, so I didn't really grip the handle. This resulted in my elbowing an elderly man in the face. However, our car also had a large group of veeery drunk college students, so by the end of the ride, we were all singing happy birthday to some guy named Mark (whom at least three-quarters of us didn't know).
And now, I shall extend this already lengthy (at least by my standards) journal with this tag. Lalala...
